Used Car Manager

Oakland Acura is seeking a motivated, experienced, outgoing, and service-oriented automotive Used Car Sales Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience purchasing, maintaining inventory, pricing, and maintaining all required documentation and compliance for the used vehicle department. This is a rare opportunity to work for a dealer group with very little management turnover. This is an opportunity to join an organization that sees associates as partners for life.

Automotive Sales Manager Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain pre-owned inventory at a 45-day supply
  • Follow Acura and Oakland Acura specific reconditioning process
  • Manage reconditioning performance within Oakland Acura's time expectation
  • Oversee used car frontline preparation
  • Set sales goals, track progress, and implement processes to meet and exceed them
  • Forecast sales for upcoming months and quarters and compile the necessary reports for dealership management to review
  • Step in to answer customer questions and issues

Automotive Sales Manager Requirement and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a Used Car Manager role at a dealership
  • Solid sales management competencies with knowledge of strategies and best practices
  • Track record of exceeding previous sales quotas and goals
  • Keen attention to detail with a commitment to solving complex problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Outgoing and service-oriented attitude
  • Goal-oriented self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure work environment
  • Willingness to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reynolds & Reynolds (DMS) experience is a plus
  • vAuto Experience Necessary
  • Superior communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced atmosphere
  • Professional attitude and attire a must
